Please read this Shipping Policy carefully before placing an order with Hounduras. This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions and governs all aspects of shipping and delivery for products purchased through our Website or other Service channels. By placing an Order, you agree to be bound by this policy.

Hounduras sells pet calming products, such as pheromone diffusers. We utilize a network of fulfillment centers worldwide to process and ship orders efficiently. Shipping is handled by third-party carriers, and we cannot guarantee delivery times or outcomes beyond our control.

Notwithstanding anything in this policy, nothing limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be waived or restricted by agreement. Where mandatory laws in your jurisdiction provide greater protections or remedies, those will apply and supersede any conflicting provisions.

1. Shipping Methods and Carriers

We offer shipping via reputable third-party carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or other international logistics providers, depending on your location, order details, and availability. The specific carrier and method will be selected at our discretion to optimize cost, reliability, and efficiency. We reserve the right to change carriers or methods without notice.

For shipments within the United States, standard economy shipping is typically used unless you select an expedited option at checkout. All shipments may originate from our global fulfillment network.

2. Order Processing Time

Orders are processed during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, excluding U.S. holidays). Processing time is generally 2-5 business days from the date of order confirmation, but may be extended during peak periods, promotions, inventory verification, or supply chain coordination.

We reserve the right to delay processing for any reason, including but not limited to payment verification, fraud checks, product availability, or coordination with our fulfillment partners. You will be notified via email if there is a significant delay exceeding 7 business days.

3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions, destination, and selected shipping method of your order. All shipping fees are non-refundable, except in cases of defective or damaged products as outlined in our Return and Refund Policy.

We do not offer free shipping unless explicitly stated in a promotion, and such promotions may have minimum order thresholds, geographic restrictions, or exclusions. Additional fees may apply for expedited shipping, rural or remote areas, oversized items, or international handling.

You are responsible for all shipping costs, including any return shipping unless otherwise specified in our Return and Refund Policy. We reserve the right to adjust shipping costs post-order if unforeseen factors arise, such as carrier surcharges, in which case you may cancel the order for a full refund of the product price.

4. Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Shipments to addresses within the United States typically arrive within 10-25 business days after processing. International shipments may take 15-40 business days or longer, depending on the destination, carrier routing, and external factors.

Factors beyond our control, such as weather, carrier delays, supply chain disruptions, strikes, global events, or international logistics challenges, may significantly extend delivery times. We are not liable for any delays, and no refunds, credits, or compensation will be issued for late deliveries, regardless of the cause.

Expedited shipping options, if available, may reduce these estimates but are still subject to the same disclaimers and are not guaranteed.

5. Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and link to the carrier's website, where available. Tracking may not be available for all shipments, particularly economy or international options. It is your responsibility to monitor the tracking information. We are not responsible for any issues arising from your failure to track the package.

If tracking information is unavailable, delayed, or incomplete, contact the carrier directly. We may assist at our discretion but are under no obligation to do so.

6. Shipping Destinations

We ship to most countries worldwide, but some restrictions may apply due to carrier limitations, export regulations, import restrictions, or product-specific rules (e.g., restrictions on shipping liquids or aerosols like certain pheromone products). If we cannot ship to your location, we will cancel the order and issue a full refund for the product price (excluding any non-refundable shipping fees already incurred).

We reserve the right to refuse shipping to any address at our discretion, including high-risk areas prone to loss or fraud.

7. International Shipping, Customs, Duties, and Taxes

All shipments may involve international elements due to our global fulfillment network. For orders delivered outside the United States, you are the importer of record and are solely responsible for complying with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Customs duties, taxes, tariffs, VAT, brokerage fees, or other charges are not included in our shipping costs and must be paid by you upon delivery or as required by local authorities.

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, inspections, holds, or quarantines. Refused packages due to unpaid duties, non-compliance, or other reasons will not be refunded, and return shipping costs (plus any restocking fees) will be deducted from any credit issued.

You acknowledge that international shipping involves additional risks, such as loss, damage, or seizure, and we strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance if available at checkout. Without insurance, recovery options may be limited.

We do not mark shipments as "gifts" or undervalue them to avoid duties, as this violates international trade laws.

8. Address Accuracy

It is your responsibility to provide a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address at checkout, including any necessary details for international delivery (e.g., full name, phone number, or access codes). We are not liable for any delays, losses, additional costs, or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses.

If a package is returned due to an address error, unclaimed status, or refusal, you will be responsible for reshipping costs. We may charge a restocking fee of up to 20% of the order value for such returns, plus any incurred shipping fees.

9. Lost, Damaged, or Undelivered Packages

Risk of loss and title for products passes to you upon handover to the carrier. We are not responsible for packages once they leave our fulfillment centers.

  • Damaged Packages: If your package arrives damaged, document the issue with photos and contact us within 7 days of delivery (or any longer period required by law) to initiate a claim under our Return and Refund Policy. Remedies are limited to replacement, refund, or store credit at our discretion, subject to carrier confirmation and investigation, which may take up to 30 days.
  • Lost Packages: If tracking indicates no movement for 30 days or the package is deemed lost by the carrier, contact us to file a claim. We may assist with the carrier's investigation, but any remedy is at our sole discretion and may require up to 60 days to resolve. Claims must be filed within 45 days of the shipping date.
  • Undelivered/Returned Packages: If a package is undeliverable (e.g., refused, unclaimed, inaccessible address, or customs rejection), it will be returned to our fulfillment center or abandoned at our discretion. You will be charged for return shipping, handling, and any restocking fees. Refunds, if issued, will exclude all shipping costs and may be partial.

We recommend purchasing shipping insurance for all orders, available as an optional add-on at checkout. Without insurance, our liability is limited to the carrier's standard coverage, which may be nominal or zero for certain shipments. In no event will we reimburse more than the product purchase price.

10. Shipping Restrictions

Certain products may be subject to shipping restrictions due to their nature (e.g., hazardous materials classifications for pheromone diffusers or liquids). We comply with all applicable domestic and international laws and may refuse or cancel orders that violate these restrictions without liability.

We do not ship to P.O. boxes, APO/FPO addresses, freight forwarders, or package holding services unless explicitly allowed at checkout. High-value or restricted items may require signature confirmation at additional cost.

11. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hounduras, its affiliates, fulfillment partners, and carriers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from shipping or delivery, including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, business interruption, or delays, even if advised of the possibility.

Our total liability for any shipping-related claim is limited to the shipping fees paid for the affected order. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your failure to comply with this policy, provide accurate information, or adhere to applicable laws.

In jurisdictions where limitations of liability are not permitted, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent allowed by law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices, laws, supply chain, or operations. Changes will be posted on our Website with the updated date. Continued placement of orders after changes constitutes acceptance.
